A great value with Passport America rate. We had 50 amp, water and sewer, it was a back-in site, but we were lead around through the storage area so it worked like a pull-through for us. We had great reception with our batwing and Verizon broadband was very good here. The owner is a great guy: takes you around in a golf cart and shows you what sites are available and lets you pick your site. Most people are super friendly, this is a great place to spend some time. We will definitely come back.

$21.50 Passport America rate for 30 amp and water on a slab site. Park is a little rough around the edges, inside roads a bit rough and the grass was overdue for a mowing. But it is a great location and very good value with PA for the area. Good beach access.

Full rate $38 less $2 senior discount for non-resident. This place in no 10, but is a solid value for the area. Boaters and fishermen might go higher on rating. The 50amp plugs in our area were not working, I checked others and it seemed like 50 to 30 amp pigtails were the norm. That was the back area of the park, the front area might have been OK with 50 amp service. Walking to the beach you need to watch out for the people fishing, they just cast without checking behind them and take up the entire walkway as well. Beach was OK.

One flat rate, no discounts. $30 tax included for 50amp, water, sewer, Wi-Fi, cable TV and a very large pull through site. This is the best park in the area and is just off 303 which runs near I-95. You either exit north (southbound) and pickup 303 and head south or vice verse. We took a day trip out to Jekyll Island, $5 parking fee required just to get on the Island. GA park passes are not accepted. The campground out here was not nearly as nice as Blythe Island and daily parking fee still applies.

Another great GA state park. GA has some of the best state park campgrounds we have come across in 30 plus states visited. We love the park and the area. Richmond Hill is a wonderful Savannah suburb.

So-so campground. Per previous review, interior roads very bad for larger rigs. Sites were poorly defined, we pointed back down the wrong way to get to the hookups in a 35' MH. Site basically level, but lots of surface roots. There are some very nice sites if you know which ones they are. Went to wash my hands in the bathroom, no soap dispenser in it??? Could not see where it might have been, no sign of where it could have been broken off the wall. The park itself is very nice.

Could not give this place a positive rating. Yes the sites are level and clean. The side by side hookups can have you on top of your neighbor, especially the pull throughs. Owners must have worked for either KOA or a bank. Extra fees are out of control here: $4.50 a day for Wi-Fi, $5 for a pull through, $2 for 50 amps, $2 for cable TV, $2 for an electric golf cart, $7.50 to wash an RV, $5 for a fire ring or buy their wood? Never in 3 years of full timing have we seen anything like that. People who charge for a fire ring are not friendly people. LP for $4 a gallon plus tax, $2 wagon rides in the fall. This place should call themselves 'show me the money' or 'thats extra'. We will never come back.

Tough call rating this place, I am giving it a positive rating as we enjoyed our week here. But this place is not for everybody. OK for singles and or couples, would not recommend it for families. As mentioned in other review, self contained units only. It is sort of a fish camp type place, but not bad. A couple of units had guys that showed up on the weekend only to fish. It is located 11 miles south of New Bern off of US-70. $20 a night or $100 for a week, solid 50 amp, water and sewer. Sites were grass, but solid ground and level. We had no problems in this very quiet area and considered it a very good value. The only problem was our Verizon cell phones and broadband were at the edge of reception. They worked, but not great. We would come back if in the area.

Very good value with Passport America, we had a 50 amp, water, sewer, cable TV and Wi-Fi pull through site on a somewhat dated concrete pad. Park is older, but OK for visiting the area. As mentioned there is not a lot of sites for short term stays, mostly permanent sites. But they have a grass overflow area. So it is a good bet for a least a short stopover. We would come back.

We need more places like this. $25 for 30 amp or $30 for 50 amp full hookup site with Wi-Fi. Half that for Passport America, 7 days a week with a 5 night limit based on availability. No add on fees for anything. Great owners. It is OK to wash RV, propane $3 gallon. I watched the owner come to sites and pickup the smaller removable tanks, go fill them and bring them back and hook it back up. That is customer service. This place is super clean, sites are roomy and level with choice of shade or sun. Harbor Freight has a location 1 exit south and Kintyre House in Dillon is a nice Grill & Tavern. We will be back whenever we next pass through.

Golden age rate paid, $20 is regular rate. All sites are level and paved. Oceanside loops are all backin's. Bayside has some pull throughs and double wide sites. Bayside loop B is a no generator loop. All others have quiet hours of 10pm till 6am. No problems with biting insects while we were here, but the flies were all over the place and in the MH. Bring some fly tape with you. Ponies were all over the place, including one of them sticking their head into our toad and eating just outside our door. Also check the visitor center: good movies at no cost. We also attended two of the Ranger programs: "Sea" S.I. Assateague and Horsing around at Assateague. Several others available as well: Surf Fishing Demo, Aquarium Feeding, Happy as a Clammer, Beautiful Swimmers, Beach on the Move and Life of the Dunes Walk. We will be back.

We came in just after Labor Day. Full rate is $46, but weekdays with Passport America it is $23 and a very solid value for this area. Park rates more of a 7, but the 8 is for value. Just check the other park rates. Our water and electric was good. We use a PT50C to monitor incoming power and had no problems. Great location to base your sightseeing. We would come back.

This park is a solid 8. $35 plus tax and a $5 reservation fee for a nice big 50 amp, water, sewer and limited cable TV site is a good rate when compared to the commercial parks along the Delmarva coast. We do not boat or fish, but there are some excellent walking trails here, a butterfly garden and lots of bird watching opportunities here. Also, there's about a mile of coast just inside the mouth of the bay. The bay bridge can be seen from the coast. We would come back.

The $30 reflects a large group rate. We came in for a large rally of approximately 180 Bounders. Had a great time. The management here did a wonderful job and the food was excellent. Restrooms were very clean whenever we stopped at one. Wi-Fi was pretty robust for a place this size. I did not go with a 10 because of the grass sites, some which looked like they could be a problem during or after heavy rains.

$28 is full electric rate. The July 2009 review is a very descriptive review. Nice state park, but some sites are not suitable for MHs due to the incline. We asked and were allowed to drive through and pick a site first. Just beware that making the swing from the exit road to entrance is very tight. Bat-wing reception and Verizon broadband were very good in D loop.

$30 is full rate, paid $15.75 Passport America taken on weekdays. The 9's and 10's are high, but the owners do get a 10 and the place is a 10 for value during the week. It is a bit off the beaten track, 4.3 miles off of US-301 which is fine. But from I-95 it is a bit of a distance. Not much around at all, but a very nice place for some R and R. We would come back again when traveling US-301.

Very nice and clean town run park. Great value. Take your time picking a site, sites are paved, gravel or grass. Hookups may be side to side (your door faces your neighbors door), you might need to pull into a back in site (hookups on left) or some pull throughs have electric on 1 side and water on the other. But it works OK. Washing vehicles is allowed. A very layer back place to relax for a few days. Take exit 65 off of NY 12 and follow signs (straight across at traffic light near McDonalds).

$42 is full price: then the Passport rate of $21. This is a busy and noisy place. We were on the Island Circle which made it worse. Sites within the loop are quieter. Mowers or weed wackers were used 4 of the 5 days in our area. The golf course is a joke if you are half serious about the game. It's a nine-hole par 3 course, real slow greens, no traps or water. Add some clueless people and it was more like torture playing it. We would go back but would ask for a site inside the loop and only on Passport days.

This place is a solid 7 maybe an 8. Passport America accepted Sun - Wed. Sites are all grass and could pose a problem after a lot of rain. No over the air TV reception, but sites are open and most people have dishes. Our Verizon broadband was real fast here, they have Wi-Fi. Excellent book swap and two very clean washers ($1) and dryers (25 cents per 12 minutes). Good place for a drink and something to eat is the Oak Ridge Golf course 5 minutes away. Nice 9 hole layout.

$30 is the full rate: Passport America accepted Mon - Thu. We came in expecting just to take advantage of the PA rate and were pleasantly surprised. As mentioned this is a combo mobile home / RV park. The mobile homes are neat and well kept, this is a very quiet and nice park. We ended up staying for 9 nights. Great base to explore the many things to see or do in the 1000 Islands Region. We had no problems leveling (we two other class A's to our side, one a 42' Monaco) or with the electric. We had a solid 50 amp connection. Verizon broadband was great and we got several US stations with the batwing. Not much for kids here, mostly older folks. We will come back.

Ok but busy state park. Most have good electric, water is located throughout park. We were on loop B, a no pets loop. Online shows this loop with an equipment length of 20 feet. Some of the sites can handle up to a 40 foot rig, but not many. While basically level, this park has 'rolley polley' sites, looks like they were back fill that was spread out without really being graded. So you kind of need to know which sites are good, which are bad. They were nice enough to allow us to drive through and pick a site from a list of sites that they gave us. This was on a Friday after we called to verify that they had sites available. Loop A has the best sites. All sites are grass except for 5 or 6 down at the end of a dead end road. Nice family park right on the St. Lawrence Seaway. TV reception was bad, only a couple stations from Canada. Verizon broadband was slow, phones ok.

We did not stay here, but did check it out. Wished we had stopped here instead of Cole Creek State Park. You drive through the Eisenhower tunnel under the lock (13' 6") to get to the park. The lock has a nice visitor center (free) and raises or lowers ships 42 feet. Very interesting to see. The campground is large and spread out over two different areas. Water is located throughout the park. There is a nature center here (free) and a dam with a power plant and visitor center (free) nearby. Much more here for active people. Massena is a good sized city with everything you need.

$30 is full rate, paid $15 Sun - Thu. Not much has changed since our first visit two years ago, but not much in the way of improvements either. Just two years older, we still like it here. Verizon cell coverage and broadband was excellent and we had very good TV reception with just the batwing. We would come back.

Passport America rate for 50 amp, water, sewer, CATV and WiFi site. We ended up spending 6 nights here, owners are a wonderful young couple who as posted are actively working on improvements. We loved the area, Lancaster is a fairly large town for this far north. We traveling on US-2 and this was a great place to spend a few nights for some sight seeing.

If you like the water, you just can't beat this place. There are zero hookups but our Verizon cells and broadband worked extremely well. The restrooms are all new. No showers or anything else. It is still location, location, location here.

Passport America rate. We had a nice long level pull through with 30 amp and water. They have a limited number of sewer sites, but they are all back in sites and wooded. Only 1 or 2 are suitable for large MHs. Very nice and clean place. Only real drawbacks for us were that our Verizon cell phones and broadband would not get signals here. Phones worked nearby, tho. The Wi-Fi was not working while we were here, we could get a strong signal but it was not responding out through the cable on the other side of the router.

Outstanding management and park. We were part of a Rally group and they did an incredible job for our group. Would highly recommend this park for people traveling with children. We were preseason and the rate reflects that. Not too many kids, our group was older couples. We really enjoyed our stay and the great food they served us.

Per earlier review, this place is better than some reviews indicate. We paid $27 for a 20 amp and water site. The 20 amp was the only negative for us, the site was in back in the tent area. Nice and private, this was Memorial Day WE and we called a day ahead. Our site was about 45' deep and very wide. I am not sure about the pull thrus here, I didn't not notice any. Park is OK for up to 40', but call ahead.

Review is for Area 2, 30 amp and water only. Non-resident rate of $25, resident is $18. Sites are somewhat short for a motorhome and toad. Some of the sites have a hedge that can impact slides. We spent some time here and a couple of times had low voltage problems (under 80 volts). Our surge protector cut power to our rig so we had no damage, problem was fixed the next day.

Paid $32.50 all inclusive for a 30 amp, water, sewer and CATV site. Owners are very nice people and this is the type of park that people come back to. The only negative for us was that our Verizon cells had no usable signal and no broadband possible. Wi-Fi here is $5 a day which is pricey.

Very nice as stated in other reviews. We were only able to stay one night so we will need to go back again. Not sure about the 50 amp hookups. Dump station was in a good location, but we did not bother.

Senior rate. 10 based on no sewer. The dump station is well laid out and has two stations. You can dump and reverse back into the site loops with no problems. Golf course is pricey. With our Golf Card discount ($6 each), a weekday round with cart for two was $63. Ironwood Golf Club just south was $50 for two. On Tuesdays and Thursdays they had a $25 dollar special of golf all day with cart (no Golf Card required for the special).

Senior rate of $19.20 paid. As mentioned, the baths and laundry are dated. But the sewer was a nice bonus for a state park. Lots of nothing around here, great for some R and R. It is a good 20 miles to a full size market in Eufaula AL. We will come back if in the area. We just love the GA state parks.

Park gets a 3 because of dump station location. Park itself is more of a 7 borderline 8. We left on a weekday and the line at the dump station prevents you from being able to leave. You have to wait in the line just to get by it. We did not dump and asked someone in the other line (yes two different lines) if they could let us pass. So either plan on leaving really early or late. I would not want to be anywhere near this place on a Sunday.

Nice clean park where everything works good. The only thing spotty was the Wi-Fi from the sites. Very robust up in the service room where they have free coffee and tea. Breakfast and lunch is OK, not the greatest but it is free. If you have not taken one before, highly recommend you sign up for the RV drivers confidence course.

Passport America rate. My wife would give this place a 10, and some sections are. We were in Regal Ridge which is an older section. While very nice, I feel that this part of the complex is on the downside. Per other reviews, the Tiki Bar is fun and people very nice. Golf course was ok, it is an executive course with slow greens. We would come back.
02/2009
rating [ 7/10 ]
Passport rate of $23.50. Most sites are either permanent or seasonal. They did have quite a few available for short term stays. We had a somewhat tight pull through grassy site. Overall place is well kept. People were not all that friendly. We were between two perm/seasonal sites so I don't think they care for transients. They was a better area where the sites were all short term sites. We would stay again if in the area.

Place is way overrated unless you have kids or a small RV. For large MH's & 5th's, the layout is a potential nightmare. 6 long rows of end to end sites, 7 per row. Sharp mounds between rows, our step opened to a steep mount side slope making entering and exiting our MH tricky. Depending on your site, exiting may require that you cut across the mound from one row to another to get out. Tail swing and side to side sway become an issue. Some sites are OK, but the ones in the middle are not good for quick overnight stays. The $5 Wi-Fi is a joke, but Verizon broadband worked well, staff friendly and help you park and setup. They have to or this place would not work at all because of the layout. They do a pretty good of spreading folks out, but I would not want to be anywhere near this place when it is full. Exit as mentioned is a nightmare.

Passport rate of $14.50 + $2 for Catv. Overall the park should be an 8, our site 317 was a dog and would rate it a 3 - 4 for a motor home. Steping in dog droppings while positioning the coach didn't do much for my mood. The park attendant who parked us had us backup until we touched tree branches, but our bedroom slide could not extend without going into tree limbs. We pulled forward to move away from limbs. The front wheels were 3-4" off the ground when we leveled the RV. We did not hookup to water or sewer (it doesn't flow uphill). But, they do have some very nice large sites. Baths / laundry were great, that is why the rating is 6 versus 3-4. People were fairly friendly and area not bad.

Passport Rate of $27.25 paid, NOTE PA can only be used here once. We would never come back and pay double what we paid. Previous review is pretty much on. There are a couple of sites that 'work like pull throughs' and we had one. Nothing in this area at all to justify the full $50+ nightly rate. If you are PA and need a spot for a minimum 2 nights or up to 7 nights, go with the two and keep on truckin.

Passport America $10 + $1 for Cable TV that had two HBO channels. We had a 30 amp P/T site with water & cable TV. Did not use the Wi-Fi, Verizon broadband was excellent. There is nothing fancy here, just a great value and really friendly people. Park might offend some, but not us. After coming in the entrance and registering, they then have you use the exit to come and go. Dump station is on the exit, so it is a weird setup. However, the traffic volume is low and it works. We would not have a problem coming back. Great park for couples with no kids, and for people just looking for some R n R.

Passport America. Note this is not a resort, it is a small friendly park next to Orange Lake. Can accept rigs up to 42'. Some people might drive in and out. We however found it to be a nice place and great value, 50 amp, water, sewer and cable TV for $11 plus tax. Was told that they have Wi-Fi, our Verizon broadband worked great. Only a limited number of sites. We came in for 3 days and spent 5. Had a 40' Newmar with 4 slides next to us to us for the first couple of nights, they come often as they have family in the area. A 37' Phaeton with double slides was on our other side. McIntosh is a neat little town, a mix of live oak and tall palms with lots of moss hanging down. Not much right here for stores, food, etc. One small market in down. But it is midway between Ocala and Gainesville. This park is not for everyone, but we would come back.

PA rate. This park should easily be an 8, or a possible 9. Two big drawbacks are the laundry and baths. We did not need the baths but heard a lot of complaints about them. The laundry room was pretty bad, we only used it once in our 35 days there. We ended up doing all of ours in our MH's small unit. Mexico Beach gets a solid 10, worth the visit. Beautiful beaches, go just west onto Tyndall AFB and take Orchid Beach RD, great day use area open to the public. The people in this small city are very friendly, it a very low crime area and we loved our stay there. We will be back for sure. Hopefully the park mgmt will get some much needed updates made. There are not many other options in this area.

$18.40 senior rate paid. The park is a 10, I hedged between an 8 and a 9 because of the campground. Some of the sites are big, beautiful level sites, others are real dogs if you are in a motorhome. A lot have some pretty severe grades to them. We pulled into site 5, a 50amp pull through with sewer, it had at least 1 foot of drop front to back between our jacks. We took a 30amp backin with no sewer instead. Only spent 1 night because of the cold, did not get to play the course. However, we did go to breakfast over at the lodge. Excellent buffet for about $6.50.

$18.40 senior rate paid for 50amp, water and sewer putt through. Real nice long level site. This is a smaller state park compared to other state parks we have stayed in. Very quiet in early December here. It is worth coming just for the golf course. Was 9 holes, but has been expanded to 18. The original 9, now holes 1 - 7 and then 17 & 18 are typical of this region, rolling fairways and pine trees. The new nine, 8 - 16 are like they are in a different country. From the 7th green you go a good 1/2 mile (or more) to get to these holes. They were put in a hay field, wide open links style holes. Very nice. We would have stayed longer but it has been a very cold fall in the east.

Passport America rate for 50amp, full hookup P/T site. Not much to this place, the RV Park is set behind a MHP. It is a neat well kept park with no trashy yards. Behind the RV Park is a detention center, high razor topped fence. We had no security issues through, overall a nice safe area. Verizon cell was fine, but the broadband was really bad, dial up speed. This park is an OK stop for a night or two, probably would allow washing if you asked.

$25 full rate, $20 senior. Another outstanding GA state park. We had 50 amp, water and catv with a fairly limited channel lineup. But with all the local networks plus weather. Campground and facilities are larger than Ft. McAllister's, better for bikers. I liked Ft. McAllister slightly better as it is a bit more solitude. Both are great parks and we would return.

Good Sam rate, nice thing about this park is that they dropped all nightly rates to $27 except for the sites with concrete pads (+$5 per night). We stayed in the section down by the ocean, very nice and sunny. We had stopped at the state park first, but all the sites are shaded. We were here during a cold snap and had one morning of 25 degrees, so we wanted sun. We had a P/T, 50amp, water, sewer and cable TV. Cable TV hookup was a male cable end, I called the office and they had someone there right away who fixed the box, and also the boxes on either side as well. Good pro active move. Great security, gate was staffed at all times and a pass needed to get in. Also, they collected the pass when we left. Did not ever have to get out of our motor home, he came to the window for us. We would come back.

Good Sam rate for a 30 amp P/T with water, sewer and cable TV. Did not try the Wi-Fi. OK place, we were up on the hill which overlooks a nice valley with a pretty view. Probably a good place to have a rally or hookup with friends. OK for an overnight stop which is what we did. Needed to use the laundry which was clean. We would stop again.

$18.50 Passport America weekday & $23.50 Holiday rate for 30amp and water. We spent 5 nights. Did not bother with sewer or 50amp to save the extra surcharge. Not a bad park, set back away from the road and had minor train noise. Vehicle washing is allowed with permission. Only thing to watch for the are low spots when setting up, after a rain there can be lots of fairly deep puddles. We had one just behind our steps and next to the car door, 4-5 inches deep. So it was socks off and Crocs on when we were leaving. Verizon cell was good, broadband ok but a bit slow.

$22.50 with Good Sam. Park allows use of 1 discount card only. Passport is limited to 3 nights, cannot use it and then Good Sam. As stated just a big flat gravel lot with the killer curb cut at the entrance. Need to really really take it slow or you will have stuff flying all over the place. Hard to do with the way the traffic flys by. Double check directions, Trailerlife had us taking a left on a closed off road, watch for the small signs, take the first right after you see the fairgrounds. We would only stop again if we had too. Not very impressed with the area.

One of the best State Parks we have stayed in. We were in the front area with ocean views and some sun during the day. We had the cable, but no sewer. The sewer sites are in back, we came in for a couple of days and stayed for 8. Could have stayed a couple of more but the fog seemed to have gotten stuck over the coast. Park is a good place to use as a base for sighting both to the north and south. We drove into the Redwoods twice from here, plus a trip into Cresent City, CA.

This place is no 8 unless you are in and out for one night. Beware the electric here, we use a surge protector for the entire coach, thank God. The power was fine at first, but I do not hookup right away as we needed to work the genset for an hour or so. When I checked the 50 amp the voltage was ok and I clicked off the breaker. The 30 amp breaker was on so I clicked it off as well. Somehow the two hot feeds into the breakers must have touched, after running the genset when I went to hookup the shore power I was getting 250+ volts hitting the surge protector, which did not allow power to go through. We used the genset that night and in the morning the wires seemed to have moved apart because the voltage was fine. The second big item is the traffic, overnight it is very quiet here. But there are horse stables that are only accessed by driving through the campground, and man could they fly though all day long. CG was almost empty so they might slow down a bit if it was busier. Not a place for kids to be outside playing. But as mentioned the rate is good and the area is safe, just beware the electric.

This place is better than a 5, only real drawbacks are the sites are tight and no wi-fi. It is in a safe, easy to access location, we were originally only going to spend a night, but stayed for 4. $22 is SKP, $23 Good Sam or $25 full rate, that is for a full hookup site with 50 amp in CA!!! Downtown area is lovely, visit/walk the Oak Street area two blocks west of State St. (State is the main drag through town), visit Cheesecake Momma's for some wonderful cheesecake, voted number 1 online cheesecake by the NY Times, they are good. Also, a very interesting place is the City of 10,000 Budda's, make sure you take the time to go into the Temple of 10,000 Budda's, very interesting and different to say the least. There was no charge to visit.

This place should be a 10 for a no hookup park. But the reservation systems is wacky. Online you can book 3 nights in advance, not tonight or tomorrow which is fine. But when you arrive and the site is open both nights you can only book tonight, then go back after 9:30 am to book the next night. As a result, people who come in during the week with no reservations are jumping from site to site. Way too much moving around for no reason at all. Weekends are booked solid. $7.50 to book online, worth it if spending several nights, but if passing through and would like to spend a couple of weekdays, beware.

Passport rate of $14.50 plus $1 tax paid. The park is a 5/6 kind of place. There are mostly older trailers here, but overall appearance of park is neat versus trashy. People were nice enough and pretty much kept to themselves. Owner / mgr here is very nice and will give you lots of suggestions on what to see and do in the area. We were in one of the two pull throughs and they were nice sites with good hookup connections. Two words of caution, mapping software is wrong. This is two blocks west of 101 on 9th. It is not down Coast Guard Hill road per mapping software. Also, figure on unhooking your toad. It is a hard turn getting out. We pulled in with our 36' Motor Home with toad on dolly, but put car on after getting out.

Very large park. You need a couple of days to fully explore just the park. We also went into historic Astoria, excellent maritime museum. Park is well treed as mentioned. Keeps things cool, some would say cold.

Another nice Oregon state park. Lots of trees as mentioned. Only drawback was the layout. The loops keep going deeper and deeper into the woods. This is good and bad. Adds quite a bit of time just getting all the way to the back of the park where we were. Hence a very long walk back out to the beach. But good for peace and quiet.

Very nice and clean, only real drawback was the sites were very narrow. We could not access all of our outside compartments. There is a hedge type tree line between sites which is good and bad. It is good for a little privacy, but makes the site tight. As mentioned they accept PPA, 1 night Mon - Thur only. Wi-fi is a buck for the code, but good for the duration of your stay. We ended up staying 4 nights. Make sure that you go into Castle Rock and see the visitor center. Well worth the time and just a couple of miles away on the other side of I-5.

Per other reviews, this is a real solid value. Park is on the borderline of 9/10. Management goes out of the way to make your stay great. Spend a week and if you decide to go monthly ($350) they will give you credit for the week paid. We ended up staying 12 nights. Golf course is nice, a mid range course. Some really pretty holes that setup nicely and other holes that have you wondering what the heck they were thinking. Avoid the pizza place nearby, terrible pizza. We found a nice little tavern in Oakland, the historic Oakland tavern that had great sub style sandwiches. Big enough for two, plus happy hour 4 - 6 daily. The only drawback was the smokers, but Oregon is going smoke free next year.

Not a bad little park. It is 3 miles off of US-101 to the park office and then .5 miles down the gravel drive to the campground which is right on the river. This gravel drive is probably the mud that was mentioned, it is a good gravel road and leads only to the campground / marina which is all the same owners. It goes through a pasture, with cows, llamaa, and a couple of goats too. Very nice effect. Had coyotes wake us one morning (5:15 am) and saw an elk track on our way to the Sunday breakfast they put on. This alone is worth coming for. $6 per person, includes coffee, juice, pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs, and probably something else that I'm forgetting. An outstanding breakfast.

A small state park not too far south of Seattle. We spent two nights with another couple and took day trips into Seattle. Park was so so. We had 36' and 40' MH's with slides and several sites (5 - 6) can handle big rigs. Unhook in the big lot and check for a site first. One draw back was that there were people living here. They were nice enough and we had no problems. Not much else in the Seattle area so we would probably do it again.

Nice park on the water in Old Town Florence. You can walk to the Old Town district which is nice. All sites are back-ins, although some people pull in so they had the water view. Sites are good sized for the location. Nice quiet location.

Passport rate $13.50 plus tax. Very nice combo RV / Mobile Home park. Not many RV sites so I would call first. Saw a couple of people come in and get turned away. We are right behind the office in a row of 6 nice long level pull-throughs. Site is 30 amp, water, sewer, Cable TV, and excellent Wi-fi. At mile post 195 on US-101, just south of Old Town Florence. Access to the National Dunes NRA is nearby. Outstanding value for the Passport America rate. We would stay again.

We were part of a caravan, and in a tight pull through site. Needed to tie back a branch in order to open one of our slides. Toads barely fit between sites. Old park in old part of Anchorage. Wifi was available in laundry room only which was a very busy place.

Not sure of rate, we are part of a caravan. This is one of the best parks we have stayed in so far. The first with 50 amps, water, sewer, wi-fi and cable too. It is also the first one that allows rig washing on site. We washed the car only as we are heading back down through more construction when we leave. We have been walking to pretty much everything and have not needed our toad yet. We will use it to go back up to the waterfalls and the old Valdez location, and to see the pipeline terminal.

One of the better northern parks that we stayed in. Sites are still tight, but there was some room between them providing a buffer zone. Probably the best park in the area and close to full when we stopped.

Very clean and well kept park. As mentioned sites are somewhat tight, but area between sites is grass. We sensed no bad vibes at all. In fact, everyone here was very nice. They had a cookout on Sat. that we were invited to and did attend. Very enjoyable stay. They also allow washing for a $5 charge. Everything worked very well. We would stay here again.

$45 is posted rate, we were part of a caravan. Other recent reviews hit it pretty much on the head. Great views, but a tight park. Took a little work to level. We got our Wi-Fi through a free network, something like SPITwSPOTS. Spit as in the Homer Spit, worked pretty good but will kick you off after an hour. It is provided by Homer. There are also lots of HOMER... networks that we could get, but they all charged. Laundry here is 4 washers / 4 dryers. If you are on your own and self contained, go right down on the Spit and see if you can get into the muni campground there. $10 no hookups. There was also a small CG with electric only for $20. The Spit is where all the action is and there are lots of places down there. Watch out for the one high end park that was $80 a night and almost empty while we were there. 11 in our group did the half day halibut fishing and all had there 2 fish limit before 10:00 am.

Not sure of rate, we were part of a caravan. Another one nighter. Big gravel lot, but sites are roomy compared with other places. Only downside is you need to use your toad to get into Watson Lake. So stop on your way by, not a lot in town. Small store, gas, and sign post forest. A couple of our crew had oil changes at Camper Services and were very pleased with the owner and service (he came in on a Sunday for them).

Very close to everything. Add sewer and I would have given it a 10. We were in the inside loop where the sites are gravel. Not very long, but plenty wide and with space between sites. There are also some sites in the paved area near the boat ramp. I liked ours better, but they had the really great views. However, we only needed to take a couple of steps to get the views.

Not sure of rate, we were park of a caravan. This park is a good base for seeing Denali. There are a couple of other parks in the area, but they are even worse. As posted before, the electric is very spotty. We have a surge protector that protects us. That is a must have, not just hear but pretty much everywhere north of the lower 48. We could not hear the generator from our spot and had a great time the 3 days we spent in the area.

Not sure of rate, we were part of a caravan. Number of sites is approximate. We had 22 in our group, mostly motorhomes. The campground is OK, spotty 20 amp and water. If there is not a caravan, then this is a nice little place for an overnight stop. WiFi is in the lodge which is very nice and has food. Good place to kick back and surf the net or read a book in front of the fireplace. Overall not a bad place.

Not sure of rate, we were part of a caravan. Previous reviews pretty much hit it. There is not compelling reason to stay here. Ok view of mountain, but they are everywhere. Not sure of rate, we were part of a caravan. Not a bad, little park. As mentioned the owners are wonderful people, and put on a great Steak / Crab fry for us. Both were outstanding. But this is a very tight little park. You will be ok as long as there is not a caravan there. We just packed our 22 rigs into the place. About half of us then depended on other rigs leaving first. It is that tight, but a nice little place to spend a night on the way in or out of Homer.

Not sure of rate, we were part of a caravan. Site number is approximate. Nice little muni campground with a par 3 golf course around it. Only big drawback is the side by side sites are very tight with 2 motorhomes parked at the same time. If you had one by yourself then you're in business.

Not sure of rate, we were part of a caravan. This could be a nice place, but lots of rules. Wi-fi only in laundry room or for big $$$'s at site. Sites were pretty tight, our small slide came within an inch of a tree. Had to duck around trees to get around our rig. Overall a pretty clean park. Owner a bit crazy when someone pulls in the wrong way (don't use the first park entrance from the east).

Per earlier reviews, this is an older park and the sites can be tight. We went in with no reservations with no problems, but no hookups which is fine. During checkin we were told all of the sites with hookups get fully booked early and were booked solid until mid-Sept. The one problem is that the park is actually too big, as a result there is a lot of heavy traffic. Most of it going much too fast. The campground loop roads were in poor / fair condition. Not one of the better National Park Campgrounds, but ok.

We came in a caravan, price is based on the flyer. Views are exceptional, sites are tight. Go with the view. OK for an overnight, but if you are self-contained, just pull off in one of the pull offs in the area and stay there. This place is very expensive for what they offer (God provides the view at no charge).

Overall it is a pretty nice park, but most sites are not very level. I saw more motorhomes with the tires elevated off the ground that I have ever seen in one park (this is not good for the MH frame as it stresses it too much). Per other reviews, sites are tight. Not many alternatives in Dawson Creek, this is probably one of the best if not best park in town. A word of caution is to call ahead, a lot of caravans start from this point. We were in one and came in three days early, 4 different caravans were here. Dawson Creek is wonderful, go into town and walk around. Check out the murals all over, make sure to check the alley next to the Alaskan Inn (55 paces south of mile post 0) and walk to the end of it. With a Safeway card and food purchase you get a 7 cent per liter discount on fuel.

Sites are big with updated hookups. This place does have some wacky rules (see review rating of 1), but they must have new mgmt running the place. The women who checked us in was wonderful and the man running the office was also very friendly. It is the owner who made the rules, he was around but seemed to keep out of the day to day affairs. Rules, no ATV's or Motorcycles, no mud left on site, $100 fines for trash left or poop, remove outdoor footware in bathrooms and laundry room. Some are ok, but the overall impression is not of a friendly place. Plus the gravel road was pretty bad, but very quiet once you got there.

This review is for what they call 'partial hookup sites'. These are not, repeat not sites. It is an area with some gravel spread about, a couple of 20 amp outlets and water. Tree branches have not been trimmed to a level that allows a class A or 5th wheel to pass by. $35 bucks for this so called site. Per earlier review, the newer sites nearby are tight, real tight and $52 a night. It is a resort, and if you do get a larger site and have kids, you should be ok. This is not a place to spend a night when passing through.

Not a bad municipal campground. Only problem we had was low voltage on both mornings we were there. About the time everyone is getting up and about. It only lasted a short time, we have a surge device that monitors incoming power for problems and it shut us off both mornings. But that was the only time. The pull through site we had, 42, was huge, you could have put two motorhomes in it. Staff was very friendly.

Golden Age rate of $7.50 + $5 for electric. Another great Corps of Engineers (COE) Park. Sites are much larger than what the online park map would have you believe. We were in site 48, web site said equipment length of 40' for it, our 36' plus car fit in with plenty of extra room. Sites that specified equipment length of 35' can usually handle rigs in the 37'-38' range with no problems. Plenty of extra room on most sites for picnic table and fire rings. We spent a week and really enjoyed it.

RV Park is somewhat dated and could have used mowing. That said, it is not a bad stopping off point if heading into Canada. Bonners Ferry is the last town of any size in northern ID, has several gas stations, grocery store, food service, etc. The Inn here is very well maintained. Wifi is free in the lobby, free coffee as well. Management very friendly. We would stay here again.

Nice park in a very quiet area with one exception. They have a few spots across from the dumpsters that had noisy. So if staying you might want to avoid sites 51 - 54 or 55. Lots of people pull up in trucks (large, usually diesel) to dump there trash. Starts about 6:00 am. Other than that a very nice park, great library. Wi-Fi is very robust, the best we have had in quite awhile.

Arrived May 23rd for a month, pay May monthly rate of $545 for the month, tax included. Great rate for a resort like this. In our 1.5 years of full timing, we have never seen sites as big. Full concrete level pads with patio. Slides do not overhang, very lush grass between sites. The 'small' golf course is really a regulation 18 hole course and very nice. Carts can also be rented for 3 days. Other than golf and relaxation there is not much else around. Deer Park is small, appx. 3,000 people. But a very nice small town, friendly people, a very safe area. Resort is gated, we left our MH for a week to visit family back in RI. We would come back.

Very easy to find; I-15 exit 343 and it is on the west side of I-15. Wi-Fi is mostly poor, acceptable mid-day, very slow both in mornings and later in day. Only drawback is the side by side hookups, we had a new neighbor every night. This is actually a good location for visiting SLC, the train station is a short 5 minute drive. We took the Frontrunner (commuter train) into SLC; $10 round trip and a nice 1 hour ride. Very modern and clean. Once in SLC you can just hop on the TRAX (trolley or light rail system). It is now free in the downtown area. SLC has a very modern and friendly mass transit system. There really are not many RV park options in the greater SLC area for people with large rigs. For us it was either here or in Provo.

Passport rate of $9.50 paid. Not that bad of a place, very friendly people. We spent two nights. The hookups, water, 30 amp & sewer were all in good shape and laid out nicely. It is not a high end park by any means, but clean and in a good area. This is Utah farm country. The park is nestled between a horse field and a cow pasture and that worked just fine for us. Better than being behind a large box store. We would stay here again.

Outstanding resort. Concrete pads, roads all paved and in excellent condition. Lush grass between sites and around perimeter. No dust or gravel areas to be found. It abuts the marina and river. Something that I have never seen is dual hookups for the sites. We had our choice as to which way we pulled into the site, the site actually has four sewer drains to pick from, two on each side, front and back. Electric, water and cable are also on both sides. WiFi is very strong from site. This is without a doubt one of the top parks in the area. We drove by a couple of others and they do not compare.

Nice little state park. They were in the process of making new sites, most of which are full hookups. I thought it was a bit pricey given the area. Campground is around the back half of a man-made lake. Was told the fishing is good and we saw one guy fishing both days we were there. Behind the campground is a pretty nice 18 hole golf course. The greens will test you. Park is just off of US-89 in central Utah. South of here 89 passes between Bryce Canyon NP and Zion NP, so this park could be a good stopping off point.

Passport America rate for 30 amp and water. Full hookups sites have sewer and 50 amp, maybe phone hookups but were $36 a night and very pricey for this area. All sites are big long pull throughs with plenty of room, a blind person could get in here. It is a fairly new park with a small cafe. Nice big grassy area for tenter's. Right off of I-84 at exit 147. But very quiet for being so close to the highway. A couple of miles from the Snake River in a very scenic area.

Passport America rate of $13.50. This is a nice small park right on the Salmon River. Big wide back in sites for large rigs. Tent sites are right next to river. Very very scenic area, some incredible views in this part of Idaho. Often referred to as the American Alps and we could see why. Office and lodge room appeared to be in excellent condition and well cared for. Great place to escape from the outside world, we had no cell phone, TV (bat wing), radio (car & RV) reception at all. If traveling in a large rig or motor home, come in the back way past Swiftwater RV Park, US-95 mile 222, follow this road past Swiftwater untill you come to this park. The White Bird exit directions would send you to a bridge with a 10 ton limit.

Paid $30 plus taxes or $32 and change. Did not see the comment about sewer hoses and ravens. But our less than two year old Rhino hose was cracked when I went to dump. Other than that, this is a great location for seeing the South Rim. We had mule deer walking through the campground, on our last night we saw three bull elk wandering nearby. We spent 4 nights here, 3 is the absolute minimum to take in the sights in this area.

Great park, only downside was the sites are pea stone, and they get into your shoes real easy. We came in without a reservation, and they did not have a site, let us dry camp in the large parking lot near checkin with our slides out. Then we got a site for 4 more nights. Very new, very clean Maytag laundry room. Very reasonable prices in the store. We would stay again.

Paid Passport rate. We did not have any problem with mgmt here. In fact we showed up at 11:00 am as we only had a 70 mile drive from prior stop, there was no problem with the early check in, they just checked to make sure that the site was empty. Ongoing improvements being made. We would stay here again. One note on gas prices, Williams stations were 50 - 60 cents higher than Flagstaff, even the stations on 64 heading up into the Canyon were not that high. Fill up before getting here.

Some of the previous comments are out of line. Yes, it is expensive. Trash cans did fill on Sunday, but were emptied every other day of week. Park is mostly closed on Sunday (this is Utah, almost everything closes on Sunday), but the pool, laundry, lounge, exercise room were all open for use. The road coming in is all of 24' wide, we have a big rig at 102" wide and had no trouble getting in or out. Only a few spots have branches that could possibly interfere with a rig. At 12'10" it is something that we look at, and we had no trouble at all. They do have an overnight area for the one nighters that is gravel. We found the people around use to be very friendly. We were in the process of backing into our site and we were welcomed to Utah before even getting parked. The Wi-Fi is on the slow side, but the lounge has a couple of network connections that can be used.

Golden Age rate. It just doesn't get any better than this. Even without the electric I would still give it a 10. Incredible views in every direction. We spent 5 nights and loved it. This park in the opposite of the Grand Canyon or Bryce Canyon. Here you are down by the river and look up at everything, versus being on top and looking down or into the canyon. We took a day trip to Bryce Canyon, appx. two hours. It was a good 30 degrees colder at Bryce than at Zion that day. You go from 3950 elevation up to over 9000 so it is a big difference.

Passport America rate. Last couple of reviews are nit picky. Dusty yes, it's the Southwest and dusty everywhere. We had no trouble leveling. The sites are a bit tight for big rigs though. The red line was no problem. It just pulls you past your neighbor, so it is a modified side by side hookup. We did not pull all the way up to the line, but stopped so as to keep our steps on the patio (mid entry rig). As already mentioned it is very close to casinos. Great place to stop on the way into Death Valley.

Golden Age rate. Not one of the better National Parks that we have been in, but considering the location it wasn't bad at all. Death Valley is a really big place, 3.4 million acres. Our only mistake was forgetting to fill our toad. Gas is available here but 60 - 70 over the going rate back in Pahrump. Our pull thru was nice and level, a very large site, #62. You just have to watch out when the wind blows. Keep everything closed because it takes dusty to a new level. We played 18 holes at the Furnace Creek Golf Course; a very nice course for the location, water hazards and all. Coyotes running around all over the course. Besides the gas station and golf course, they also have a store, cafe, saloon, post office, sit down restaurant, etc.

There are no hook ups here, toilets only. Nightly rate is $10, $5 with Golden Age pass. Very nice landscaping in the campground. Great low cost alternative to Las Vegas area, but it is only 10 miles to Boulder Hwy which will take you to the downtown area of Vegas. This campground does not take reservations, we had no trouble finding a site on a Saturday morning. There is also a couple of other campgrounds with the NRA, Boulder campground is also no hookups and much larger. We drove through with our car. Woodall's had said it had a 30' limit, not so. Lots of rigs pushing 40' or so in it. Also $10 / $5 a night. This one is next to the Lake Mead Village which has hookups and has been reviewed before, see Boulder City.

Passport rate $15.50 plus $3 for 50 amp. We asked about site size during check in and got a nice big back in site in the new E section. Other sections are older and would probably rate 7 - 8. Row D has nice sized pull thru's. A and B rows are much tighter, ok if every other is empty. We are not traveling with kids, but this is a great place for family's, big game room, pool table, ping pong, lots and lots of maps on the walls, lots of stuff for kids to do here. Nice little gift store with reasonable prices. Park is on the south side of Carlsbad, town just north and carverns an easy drive south.

The Fort is a corner stone in the ground and not worth seeing (we were told that by the people in the site next to us). But be warned, there is a big gas plant under construction nearby, the parks here are either filled to capacity or very close. We got in, but rigs were being turned away shortly after. Also stopped on the Comanche first, they were full.

Good Sam rate for 30 amp FHU with cable. There is wi-fi, but we could not get on. Very limited capacity, you might be able to get on near the router, but not from your RV. The 30 amp sites are side by side hookups. Interesting thing is 3 20 amp breakers for the two 30 amp plugs. So you either plug in to a live outlet or turn off the power to the other site. Other than that, very nice people and a clean well kept park. Roswell was a big disappointment.

Not a bad place for a night or two. Very nice people working here, so I question the previous comments about the bathrooms. We stayed two nights so we could play the golf course over at New Mexico Tech.

$12 for electric sites and $8 without, half price for golden age pass. Water hookups are pretty far away, we filled tank and used that, need a minimum of 50', 100' is better. Not all sites have electric. A very nice Corps of Engineers Park, big roomy sites with plenty of room between them.

Passport America rate with no restrictions. We spent 15 nights here, good location for accessing the downtown area, easy in and out off of I-37. Very nice people here, we had a back in site and the site on either side was empty for the entire 15 days. If staying here, take the extra time and get a back in. Everyone wants a pull through, these were filled almost to capacity every night. The regular sites here are tight. There are some big premium ones out back, but they are pretty much taken by reservations. Plus they are pricey. Overall a very good park for the money.

We were very impressed with this place, good value for the money. $25 less Good Sam discount of $2.50, paid $22.50 all inclusive. W/E50amp/S Wi-Fi and Cable. Cable included HBO and Cinamax. Don't see that very often. Good place to fill the water tank before heading into Big Bend. From here you are 90 miles from the Rio Grande Village. They now have a small cafe here that is open for breakfast Thurs - Mon mornings only. Great breakfast too. Very nice courtyard and sitting area near cafe.

Golden Age rate, $4 is full rate. This is dry camping only, there are port-o-johns though. Great spot for a night or a few. Not sure of the exact number of sites, but there are about 24. They are 'pull up' sites, meaning you park on either side of the road, next to a covered picnic table at each site. Also with a trash can. We spent a night here on our way to Big Bend NP. Del Rio is a good place to stock up on supplies for Big Bend, gas, food, etc. Very small towns west of here.

Review is for the 100 site park run by the National Park Service. The 10 rating is for a park with no hookups of any type. It just doesn't get much better than this, incredible views everywhere you look. Hiking trails all over. We had been able to reserve 3 nights in the reserve generators allowed area. First morning there we jumped into the no reservation area when someone pulled out. Spent 9 nights total. Big Bend is big and you need at least 3 days to even get a taste of it. A week is better. The sites are well spaced in the no hookup park, plenty of room all around our rig. People either love it or don't. For some, no phone, TV, hook ups, etc. is not for them. For us this was an incredible experience not to be missed.

Passport America rate of $20 all inclusive for 50amp, water, sewer, Wi-Fi & Cable TV. Park is mostly trailers and 5th's, 30 sites taken with them but no one around. It's pretty much a fish camp where they leave the trailer and boat for weekend / non-winter use. There are 6 back-in sites right against the gulf, sites are deep enough for any rig, but sort of tight, 20-22' wide. We spent 5 nights here, first 4 were good. But on the last night a 5th parked in site next to us and then crammed his tow vehicle between our MH and his 5th. Could not access our outside compartments, but we were leaving anyway. Not much here. We would come back but would make sure that we were next to another MH or empty trailer.

Passport America rate, $30 is full rate. The Wi-fi is poor, but use able. However, they did tell us this when I asked about it when making reservation and again at check-in. Probably a household type Wi-Fi setup that can get over loaded by the number of users in a park. This park would have gotten a 10 from us if the Wi-fi was more robust and we were in any other site. We were in site 16 and it had drainage problems (but we were here using PA so that is probably why we got it). It rained the first night and the site was 50% under water. The low point was around the hookups and this area was still holding water when we left 5 days later. The 'puddle' after the rain went from the hookup and surrounded all of the RV tires except the back right. The door area was also flooded so we had to walk in water to get in. So if not using PA I would make sure that you get a different site. This was the only one that had the problem.

A really nice friendly park right on the bay. The Wi-Fi is additional and we paid $3.95 for a day. It is cheaper for longer periods, but boy did it fly. This is by far the faster we have had in our year of full timing. They have what they call regular sites and premium sites. They overnight sites and premium sites are the really nice ones, the regular look to have mostly permanents in it. We were headed to South TX looking for a park to spend a month in, so as to be in one place for the holidays. Wish we had stopped and spent it here.

The park and the site we had are as good as we have seen. However, the Wi-Fi in the North section was very poor. The cable channels provided left a lot to be desired as well unless you speak Spanish. This is a really big place and you pretty much need a golf cart to get around. It is pretty much a destination park and once you arrive you do want to leave it, there is not much around this area. Plus a lot of road construction on US-83. We spent two nights and went looking for a better place to spend a month.

Rate appx. paid $395 mo. plus electric for the two months we spent there. Rates are going up for next winter. This is a great people park, everyone very friendly. We had spent two nights in Mercedes before driving into this park, couple in the office were wonderful, marked off a bunch of available sites, we were checking one out and two people came over to say hello and welcome us. There is also a little 9 hole par 3 course here. Not the best, but good for the short game. They had scramble tournaments every Monday and Friday mornings where you drew for teams. Great fun. We would go back again. One thing about this whole area through, great weather, hardly ever rained, but windy and dusty. It is this whole area of the country is like that though. The owners have many upgrade projects going on. Three new Wi-Fi towers went up while we were there. Plus they added heat to the pool. A bathhouse is planned, along with new pavement on a couple of roads. Nice place to winter.

$26.50 is full rate, first two nights were half that with Passport America discount. Nice clean safe area with good access to US-90 and I-10. Short drive into Mobile. Part of the park is more established with grass areas and some trees. The larger pull through sites are all in the open (no problem this time of year) and are all crushed stone. It is clean but can be tough on the feet. We will return again if in the area.

Nice state park, sites are spaced apart and offer good privacy. There are several walking trails with access to the water. The Navel Air Station is close by and has the museum which is free and very extensive.

As stated in prior review, park is set back from the road which is a big plus in this industrial area. Also, the side and back have a solid 8' fence enclosing park. Did not use Wi-Fi, but was told it was central down near washer/dryers. Some sites are really big, they have several sites they set aside for overnighters and they were not as big, but OK.

Golden Age discount is 50%, but $18 would still be a bargain. Add sewer and this place would be a 10. Big roomy back in sites are fully paved, plus there is a poured concrete 'patio' behind the site with picnic table, grill (new) and fire ring. The space between sites could actually support an additional site, but then it would be like a private park. The Louisiana TPC (golf course) is located at this state park. An easy 30 minute drive into the city.

Passport America rate. Park is close to a 9, sites could be spaced further apart and the Wi-Fi was sporadic while we were there. Then it would be a 10. Improvements are ongoing and new pads were being poured while we were there. Good access to I-10 and the Biloxi coast. Park is pretty much recovered from Katrina and the riff raft is gone. By far the best coast to coast park we have been to.

We agree with all the recent 8's. We paid the off season rate of $80 for a week and added 2 extra nights at $16. Played both courses, both nice, one fairly open and easy, the other host's the Arkansas Open every year. As mentioned there is all kinds of things to do in this park and a great place to spend some time. The downtown area of N Little Rock has open Wi-fi provided by the city. We came so we could have our mail forwarded to us and order a part for the RV.

The park is dated, but not that bad. So an 8 in season is not a stretch. However, this is not in a nice area. Rosedale is a sad place with boarded up store fronts, etc. I would not leave the RV unattended in the off season here. But we felt safe enough staying. That said, a family would probably enjoy themselves here very much in season as it is a nice state park. I do not think there are 50 amp sites, as mentioned the electric is dated, but worked fine. There is a dump station on the way out. The park is located between the levee and the Mississippi River.

Very busy park so I would recommend calling ahead. We spent a week and this is a good park as it is close to all the attractions. We also had a back in that was somewhat inclined, but ok. If traveling with family you might want to check out the state / COE parks out by Table Rock Lake. We drove through one and it was really nice, won't have all the extras through, cable,wi-fi.
10/2007
rating [ 3/10 ]
Park actually rates a 7. The 3 is because of the "pull throughs". You have to unhook your toad because of the hookups. The hookups are all the way to the back of the site, with 50' of electric and water lines you would be ok. But you would not be able to use the sewer (too much uphill grade regartless of hose length). We also had to unhook the dolly and slide it under the RV to get it out of the road. That was with 30' of sewer hose fully stretched out. They may be able to give you a spot in the back where it might to ok to block the road overnight.
10/2007
rating [ 7/10 ]
Passport America rate. Sites were large, but rough gravel. Interior roads were also rough gravel with some washouts. OK to navigate, but at a real slow pace. We were off season, but there did appear to be a lot here for families, a lot of permanents, but they have their own area. We would stay again if passing through.

Found this park through our Passport America directory. There are a lot of seasonal and work types here, so there were not a lot of spaces open. Women across from us told us her husband and 10 other men are all staying there and working for the same land management company. They are doing some kind of oil/gas work in the area. Park was very nice and quiet. WiFi worked very well and was included, as was the CATV. It is right on a man made lake and it looked to have great fishing.

Paid Passport America rate of $8.25 for first 3 nights and $15 (senior) for 4th night. Park has two RV areas and is part of the Pat Harrison Water District which runs about 9 "water parks". The sites with the higher numbers has been recently updated, all new pavement, sites and roads. 50 amp service with sewer. Nice quiet park very much like a COE park, big roomy sites with plenty of space between them. The only one downfall we had was a bunch of small ants that must have gotten disturbed. They were all over the RV and we did not have ant spray with us. Other than that we had a good time.

$27.50 less Good Sam discount was $24.75 a night for an all inclusive (taxes too) 5-way hookup. No add ons for 50amp, pull thru, cable tv or wi-fi. Just a nice all inclusive flat rate. Great owners, we came in with no reservation and they took plenty of time to find a way to get us in as we were looking to spend the weekend, Thursday - Sunday. We ended up in one of the nicest sites, #69. It was the last one in the area across from the office and next to the water. So we had no one on our door side, just a large grass area and then the lake. A word of caution is to call ahead first, this is a busy place with rigs coming and going. It must be in one of the big rig guides because of the large number of big diesel pushers coming in. Plus it is where I-70 & I-57 are combined.

Nice large sites right on Lake Erie. We paid $22 a night, plus $6 each for the car and RV. Not sure how they worked that. Site rate should include the RV. It worked out to $62 for two nights for an electric only site. This is high for a state park, but it was very clean.

One of the nicest state parks we have been in. Campground directories are misleading on site size. The sites here are big with a buffer zone (brush, vegetation) between sites. They are also paved with very nice grass around the pavement. This park also has a very nice golf course as well.

RV sites are paved and very clean. Good sized sites for the area. WiFi is very robust but expensive at $5 for a day or $15 for a week. Our tour bus took us through two other parks that were not nearly as nice. Good placement of hookups.

Had a great site 88, really really big pull-thru next to the playground. We were here during the week so it was quiet and the site was perfect for our needs. Don't bother with the WiFi. We paid for two days access and it was a waste of money. Web page loads were so slow that they kept timing out. One day it was completely off line.

Passport America rate of 12.50 paid. Most sites are permanent, but they have an 'RV sites' area with 20 long pull-thru sites, 30A/W/S and WiFi. The WiFi is free and is a bit slow, but usable. There are also back-in sites, recommend that you call ahead first during busy seasons as they most likely fill up here. Management very friendly.

Passport America rate 12.50 paid. Came here after leaving Yogi Bear´s in Portage. Great place for adults. It is a small motel with RV sites in back. It is a little over an hour to Chicago (on Saturday) and we took a day trip there.

Found this campground thru Passport America directory. It is small with mostly seasonals, but they do have sites available. Ours was a decent sized pull-thru. This place is for self contained units, the bathrooms are over at the golf course. The campground abuts the golf course and they have a great stay and play package. $49 for 1 night and two rounds of golf with a cart. $12.50 is the PA rate. Very nice golf course but the campground leaves a bit to be desired, but OK for our purposes.

$25 is the full rate for W/30amp/S. But they take Passport America on Sun - Thru so it was 12.50 for most nights. We ended up staying 8 nights because we liked it so much. It is in the 'great north woods' and if we had seen a moose or bear walking through the park it would not have been a surprise. No Wi-fi but there is a great little coffee house with free WiFi right up the road next to the post office and near the library (has Wi-fi too). All kinds of great home made goodies here. Owners of park were very nice and park was very quiet and peacefull. Two 18 hole golf courses nearby.

Not sure of the nightly rate, 8 nights came to $117. Great business model here, Sun - Thur they take Passport America, Fri & Sat Good Sam or just about any other discount card. This place runs at close to 100% filled as a result. But all the 10's are over rating it. A 10 is perfection, our first site was subject to dusty conditions when RV's passed, the last site was somewhat muddy after rain. Sites up on top are stone and do not have that problem. Only the lower sites do.

Passport America rate. This place packs them in tight. Mostly filled with seasonal campers and a good place for kids. So so for older couples. We had hot weather and had to run our genset to power the A/C's. The 'transiet' area with about 12 sites was on a 100 amp circuit (do the math). Probably would avoid this place in July/August when schools are out. But it is probably ok when schools are in. There is a really nice golf course (Heritage CC) nearby that has a weekday senior rate of $30 ($36 non senior) for 18 holes with cart and lunch.

Location, location, location. This place is right on the ocean and breachway. Self contained units only, so it is a great place to put your RV to its full use. We also spent 10 nights here in May. 7 nights is the limit, but managers discretion for additional nights and that was pre season. RI is going to a reservation system so next year it will be tough to get a site on weekends. Now you just showup during the week and your in.

First the golf course, Hidden Cove. A golfer's dream for a state park, we added extra nights in order to play it a second time. Campground is good for a state park, some sites are tough for motorhomes, but we found a good level one. Greater place for smaller rigs though. Water hookups are set between sites and we needed to go pick up another 25' of hose (50's total does it) to hookup.

Previous reviews of 9's and 10's are right on. The only thing stopping us from giving the place a 10 is the T shaped sites. Getting in and out is a bit tight, especially with a dolly. Once in you are all set and the T does make for some additional privacy. People here are as nice as they get. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Great state park, very clean. Sites are very level and wide. Some are deeper than others. Rate is senior rate, not sure of full rate. Water hookup is shared, not for full time use. You hookup, add water and disconnect. These are positioned so that multiple sites can use one.

Not really a bad place. We were here for a rally and stayed off to the side in a large grass back-in site. It had a grey water only sewer drain. There is not a lot of much in this area of CT, so $35 is high for a place like this. Putnam CC is within an hour and a fairly nice course. Other than that I can't see us coming back here for any reason.

New park with modern laundry room. Every thing very clean. Great access to Mammoth Cave NP. One word of caution on the Wi-fi here, there is something fishy in their setup. I did mention it to an owner but he seemed indifferent. Do not access any financial sites or sites that you do not want someone else seeing. If your PC is setup correctly you will see a popup box warning you about the 'security certificate ...'. This is what you see on TV news programs warning you on having your personnel information stolen. Beware. Other than that the Wi-fi worked fine and I would return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Older park in need of some TLC. Good place for seasonal family camping. Lots and lots and lots of trailers, a lot of which belong in junk yards. The trailer across from us had all kinds of crap surrounding it. I am surprised they have not been told to clean it up. But if you get past that, they do have a lot to keep kids busy. This is a Coast-to-Coast campground that also allows Passport America and another club. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Like other reviews, sites are nice and wide. Almost all are pull through. I am posting because they do have wi-fi now. It is in a central location, but if your site is close enough to the main building you can pick it up. However, it is not a very robust system at 1.0 mbps and will bog down with too many users.
